Restoring Sight Through a Medical Camp
An elderly woman lost to cataracts regained her sight through a free GCM eye camp — seeing her family clearly again for the first time in years.
Many of the communities GCM serves have no realistic access to affordable healthcare. A consultation means a day's lost wages and a bus fare that a daily labourer cannot spare. GCM brings the care to the village instead.
Free medical camps are conducted in remote and underserved areas, providing basic healthcare, consultations, and treatment. Eye camps offer free examinations, screenings, surgeries and spectacles. Free medications and medical supplies are distributed through the camps and through ongoing partnerships with local clinics.
