Our Story

Great Commission Ministries was founded in 1994 by Rev. M.N. Ashirvadam and Mrs. Miriam Mylaram, in Bollepally village, Bhongir, Nalgonda District, Telangana. It began on the belief that every person deserves dignity, hope, and opportunity — a conviction to serve the marginalized and the forgotten.

Known in its early years as The Great Mission Ministries, the work has grown from a small group of volunteers into a compassionate network reaching thousands of lives. Today GCM is an independent registered NGO, registered as a Society, serving across three areas of work: Religious · Educational · Social.

Our field base is now at Malyala Village, Bommalaramaram Mandal, Yadadri–Bhongir District, Telangana, with a registered office in Hyderabad. Each year on 17 September we mark another year of this journey — most recently our 31st anniversary in 2025. From shelter to education, from healing to spiritual renewal, we have witnessed firsthand the power of community-led change when compassion meets action.

Vision & Mission

Our Vision

To build a world where every vulnerable person—regardless of circumstance—experiences transformed hope, spiritual grounding, economic empowerment, and the unwavering support of a compassionate community. We envision thriving communities rooted in faith, dignity, and sustainable development.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple: no child without a home, no village without the Gospel, and no woman without dignity. Every life we touch is a testament to what God can do with willing hands.

Our Values

Compassion

We lead with empathy, honoring the dignity and unique circumstances of every person we serve.

Faith

Rooted in spiritual conviction, we believe in transformation through faith and collective belief in human potential.

Integrity

We operate with transparency, accountability, and unwavering commitment to ethical practices.

Community

We believe lasting change emerges from collaborative, community-led initiatives that respect local wisdom.

Sustainability

We design projects that create lasting, self-sustaining impact rather than temporary relief.

Equity

We champion equal access to opportunities, resources, and the chance for every person to flourish.

What We Believe

Behind these values sits a settled theological conviction and a set of founding objectives, registered with our constitution in 1994 — the basis for how we care, whom we serve, and why.

From Our Founder

"Great Commission Ministries exists because we believe that transformation is not a privilege reserved for the few. Every life has immeasurable worth. Every person deserves the chance to thrive. When we serve the vulnerable with faith, compassion, and persistence, we don't just change individual lives—we reshape communities and restore hope to entire generations."
